Job description

Drive Marketplace Management:
Be the category distribution expert in driving holistic category opportunities. Ensure robust distribution plans using (good, better, best pinnacle) as a framework, are in place in key city and hot-spot locations to maximize category opportunities. Connect on a regular basis with the category sales director, regional teams, account teams and Nike retail team to ensure alignment on executing category distribution plans. Work with account teams on specific plans to increase productivity, account penetration, and look for new account category opportunities on a regular targeted schedule. Deliver market sensing data (customer category sell-thru, inventory levels, customer margins, and competitive feedback) to the category senior leadership team.

Execute Go To Market Strategies:
Implement in conjunction with category strategies, high-level category sales meetings and account meetings on a seasonal basis in country and region. Directly sell to and manage key accounts within the focus country. Ensure development and usage of specific sell-in tools needed to drive both seasonal business meetings and sales meetings (executing category showroom strategies, samples and catalogues). Participate as required with specific deliverables in key GTM meetings (PAMM, SIM and GTM), in driving country and regional business opportunities.

Participate and Influence Strategy:
Participate as part of the category team in driving specific category needs as part of an overall strategy or category plan. Translate category strategy into implementation and execution in country and region, as developed by the category senior leadership teams.

 

Lead People and Develop the Team:

Manage directly the country and region category specialty sales force.  Responsibility for hiring, developing, coaching and mentoring direct specialty rep team. Communicate with sales force the category vision and strategy on a regular basis.
