We are currently looking for a Retail Planner for our Outlet buisness in Europe. Responsibilities include: Long Term Planning: Support the Senior Planner by the development of the forecasted Fiscal Year sales, receipt, markdown, transfer, and inventory turn plans for the Factory business, to the department/store or sub-department/store level to achieve top line business targets set by the Planning Manager. Deliver buisiness plans and communicate them with Merchandising, Operations, and Finance teams in combining fiscal plans Report these numbers through, finance tools ( IP, Essbase, etc) Seasonal Planning: In Season Trading: Maintain all Fiscal Year sales, markdowns, receipt, transfer, gross/net margin and inventory turn plans, and re-plan, as needed, to reflect current business trends. Monitor performance to plan, review weekly Open-to-Buy/stock and sales and work with Planners, Buyers, Area Managers and BU’s in execution of these financial trading in season numbers. Assume support role in managing all product flow to the stores including transitions, futures, prop and close-out from all retail concepts. Track against seasonal sub-dept plans to identify risks or opportunities to sales and inventories. Work with the Buyers and Planners to identify sub-dept MD’s needed to maintain a healthy inventory whilst maintaining margin targets. Store Planning: Work with AM’s to plan store revenues inline with the topline plans, store budget and forecasts at the start of each month. Communicate the monthly store sales and regional targets to the allocation team timely to enable the success planning of monthly orders. Re-forecast monthly and work with Buyers to determine regional specific actions/adjustments to support sales and inventory issues. Reporting: Be responsible for the execution, maintenance and distribution of the Weekly and Monthly sales reports required by the business. Take ownership on improving reports in general and support business with standardizing reports and ad hoc reporting. Assist in implementing new Planning procedures, aligning the org with IT involving new planning and merchandising tools. Support development of the tools in line with the Business structure. Bring modifications to the current model improving work efficiency and data analysis. Conduct new store analysis and work with Retail Development, Merchandising and Operation teams to create floor plans for potential new stores. Experience: Computer Skill: IBM, proficiency with MS Office software (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, etc.), email, internet. Experience with multi-store merchandising systems, retail math, and multi-currency calculations. PC & E-mail - 50%, Interpersonal - 30%, Phone - 10%, Travel - 10% 4-year degree or 1-3 years experience in planning or buying in a multi-store environment. Exposure to complexities of doing business in a multi-currency environment and complex gross margin profitability planning. Retail math, financial planning and assortment planning skills with knowledge of automated planning systems including open-to-buy, distribution and reporting. Systems experience with SVi (Island Pacific) or other planning tool, PCs, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Good analytical skills, detail-oriented and well organized. Team player. Strong leadership & team management skills. Fluency in English (written and verbal). Strong communication and presentation skills.
