MISSION

We are currently looking for an experienced Retail Operations Director based at our European HQ (Netherlands). The role will manage the Operations and Loss Prevention teams and report directly to the VP of Retail. The role supports the "back of house" in regards to the stores and does not have P&L accountability. We are looking for a strong process, procedure and audit focused retailer who through their knowledge can raise the standards within retail operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop strategies necessary for the development and implementation of retail best practices, operational standards, business processes, and policies and procedures.
• Establish key benchmarks and performance measures to assess operational effectiveness.  Establish processes to analyze results and develop plans for improving business practices to maximize profitability.
• Oversee Loss Prevention function and ensure that effective programs are in place to safeguard company assets and minimize potential losses.
• Partner with retail field leadership to integrate implementation and delivery of operational improvements and related communications and training with overall retail business plan.
• Provide expertise on store development projects to ensure efficient use of capital and company assets.
• Develop overall communication and training strategy to ensure that stores have necessary information and education resources to consistently execute operational standards.
• Select, lead, evaluate, coach, train, and develop a team of Retail Operations professionals and Managers.
• Supporting both geographies and all businesses (owned, NFS and FRANCHISE/PARTNER).
• Leadership/Strategic influencing and great People mgt.

REQUIREMENTS

10 years + retail experience in management roles

Affinity with the Nike brand & lifestyle

Managed large teams

Multi site management experience

Pan European/International experience

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
