Job description


Create long-term strategic and short-term tactical plans that maximize revenue and profitability in order to achieve our financial objectives. This role will focus on the Central Eastern Europe Market and will sit within our European HQ, Hilversum.

 

This person will have experience of bringing new ideas and implementing change within retail. The role will manage the retail planning strategy and work closely with buying, allocation and country.

 

The role will report into the Director of Nike Factory Stores Central Eastern Europe (NFSCEE)and be a key support.

Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Planning:

Development and implementation of strategies for growth of the NFSCEE business, this will include:

  • Expansion
  • Operational improvements
  • Future structure
  • Process design

 

Communication:

  • Actively participate in creating a motivating work environment.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and business reviews.


Other:

  • Implement new best practice Planning procedures
  • Lead the development of infrastructure of the tools in line with the Business structure. Bring modifications to the current model improving work efficiency, data mining and increased reporting capabilities.
  • Train and coach junior team members and country teams
    Conduct new store analysis and work with Development, Merchandising, Operations, and Finance teams to create financial plans for potential new stores.

 

  • Requirements:
    Education: 4-year Degree in Business
    Experience: 5 years experience in a planning or business development – preferably in a multi-store environment. 
  • Exposure to complexities of doing business in a multi-currency environment and complex gross margin profitability planning.
    Other: Retail math, financial planning and assortment planning skills with knowledge of automated planning systems including open-to-buy, distribution and reporting.
  • PCs, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Good analytical skills, detail-oriented and well organized. 
  • Strong leadership & team management skills.
  • 5 years within a similar role is essential for consideration
  • Experience/understanding of the Central Eastern Europe market preferable
  • Communication/Languages: Fluent in English. Both written and spoken.
