Job description
|
MISSION:
Establish, maintain and manage superior relationships with organisations key media and individuals that enhance and Project the Nike Brand and Products and our Corporate Reputation.
As Responsible for Corporate Responsibility communications, provide strategic direction and management in this area.
MAIN TASKS:
- Develop and lead country specific public relations strategies and plans to support the overall brand, category, product concepts and business.
- Manage, respond and track issues and crises that impact the Nike Brand and corporate reputation. Develop strategic responses including creation of key messages and advising Country General Management or other Nike spokespeople.
- Develop local strategies, messages, plans and communication tools appropriate for key internal and external audiences to successfully enhance Nike’s reputation related with labour practices, community development, diversity and environmental issues.
- Identify and execute creative media exposure opportunities; unplanned events, inspire media to cover Nike products, athletes, events and business. Respond effectively to media inquiries.
- Represent the Brand as media spokesperson and advise other Nike employees and athletes for interviews / media contacts, if necessary.
- Provide strategic vision to develop country and category integrated marketing plans.
- Participate in senior management discussions and planning about brand development and integrated marketing communications.
- Together with regional team ensure that employees recieve and understand important local, regional and global information.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism. 5-7 years of seniority PR and corporate communications in a multinational company and global environment with high media exposure.
Person used to work with senior management and managing a high skilled team, used to delegate and empower the team.
Innovative, creative, visionary, with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Capacity and resistance to stress.
