Job description
|
MISSION:
Lead Sales Future Planning Process
- Lead the seasonal, annual and longer term sales planning process for France and Decathlon. Facilitate sales GTM processes (SIM in particular). Build up a detailed calendar of the different steps and follow up their achievement in the right timeframe. Anticipate possible shortfalls and communicate accordingly.
- Connect with line managers, Category sales manager and BU Merchandising directors to track future versus budget on a seasonal and yearly basis. In season, consolidate forecast, attend GTM to develop your knowledge of business reality per account and report bookings to sales management staff after each deadline.
- Be the point person at EHQ for France as far as future sales planning is concerned. Support and implement EHQ planning tools (Long range sales planning or others) in France. Provide clear input for potential upgrades or new developments to cover local needs.
- Participate to FY10 budget submission process.
Enpower the business to take accurate decisions
- In collaboration with EHQ dedicated team, develop the most appropriate approach to collect sell through of a selected numbers of accounts in France - Q1/Q2. Roll out the collect – Q3
- Establish sell through as a key data for decision taking within Nike France. Collaborate with the training manager to create a program to leverage our sales force ability to make the best use of the retail collected data Q3 – Q4
- Together with Category Sales Manager, support the development of market intelligence and distribution plans in French key cities.
Optimize data management and Establish customer data base as a key enabler for accurate decision making
- Ensure customer master correctness throughout the year. Process to yearly review of customer clusters and discount band. Clarify the road rule for customer classification, document processes and train sales force to correctly create accounts.
- Lead the customer master update phase 1 and 2. Share BoA guidelines with sales management, review customer lists with relevant sales person and build up business case to support exceptions if needed.
- Establish the customer database as #1 tool to assess sale decision impact: Distribution plan, Nike.net growing perimeter, show room strategy…
- Support the roll out of the new Nike distribution policy
Project Management
- Investigate the existing reporting tools within Nike France. Considering the EHQ ongoing developments, assess our local development needs - Q1.
- Together with Finance and considering the move of the sales analyst by December 08, build up a comprehensive plan to increase sales force satisfaction in regards to reporting - Q2
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 4 years experience
Relevant experience in advanced retail industry (i.e. food, personal care) is a requirement
Experiences in sales, marketing, Category Management or consulting should be privileged
Examples of valuable experiences at Nike: Retail buyers, Finance Operations (career switch)
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Fair knowledge of retailer systems & MS Word and Access
Education: Major in business (sales or marketing) & statistics preferred
Experience: Sports industry &/or fashion industry experience would be a plus
Skills: Report building & space management skills are considered a plus
