Job description
|
MISSION:
Optimize sales of Nike product to assigned account(s) following Nike’s sales and brand strategies.
MAIN TASKS:
- Sales Execution: Optimize sales of Nike product by achieving sales goals with assigned account base. Accountable for selling to key or strategic accounts through “Futures” and “At-Once” business. Use marketing and product initiatives to position Nike product with customer. Achieve seasonal initiatives and product category goals. Manage cancellations, closeout and prop sales.
- Planning: Work with sales manager to develop accurate and realistic go-to-market plans, seasonal assortments, forecasts and scenario plans. Conduct monthly and seasonal business reviews with customers. Meet all reporting deadlines in a timely and consistent manner.
- Account Management: Work with sales management to manage the key or strategic account. Provide account feedback to key stakeholders including the SAM or KAM, product sales manager and business unit managers. Use market knowledge on product trends, pricing and the competition to maximize Nike product placement and sales.
- Product: Identify product opportunities and execute product strategies. Stay current on product and product changes. Recommend products to purchase that position inventory appropriately. Balance the merchandising needs of the account with Nike product placement objectives.
- Communication: Establish and maintain timely, consistent and positive external and internal relationships. Provide exceptional customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customer personnel at all levels of the customer’s business. Communicate daily with buyers, manager, customer service, order management and sales operations. Keep manager informed of opportunities, problems, progress, and support needed. Share expertise and best practice information with the sales team.
- Order Management: Accountable for the execution, management and timely coordination of account orders including entry, tracking, order confirmation, cancellations and delivery information. Meet all order deadlines in a timely and consistent manner using Siebel and SAP.
- Meeting Facilitation/Participation: Accountable for the preparation, planning and delivery of clear and persuasive sales line presentations. Actively participate in account and Nike meetings including pre-lines and sales meetings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
5 to 7 years of direct account sales experience
Must have knowledge of athletic industry and of trends in the marketplace.
Must have intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to learn and effectively use Siebel and SAP computer systems.
Must understand the competitive market, customers and retail trends.
Must be able to use financial data to make sound decisions on the maximization of revenues, profits and sales opportunities.
Must be able to execute policies and programs to achieve sales goals.
Must be able to understand complex business issues, find creative ways to solve problems, and make sound decisions that benefit Nike.
