Job description MISSION:
Serve as the marketplace/retail format merchandising expert. Assort across categories to eliminate duplication and gaps, to align to retail formats and key accounts and to maximize the category/consumer experience. Lead the optimization Geography/Territory assortments across categories, driving net ship, $/unit, GPM% and distribution growth plans agreed upon with sales.

MAIN TASKS:
Deliver merchandising excellence:
•                 Execute Territory merchandising strategies that drive growth opportunities and product differentiation across categories and retail formats.
•                 Enable sales distribution plans (account expansion, account penetration, account profitability) and other retail metrics (capacity, sell through, inventory turns, etc.). 
•                 Optimize assortments across categories to drive revenue and margin growth and to lead our consumers and retailers to a new place.  Brand Merchants resolve issues/conflicts on pricing and flow across categories

Actively participate in cross categorical merchandising activities in game plan process:
•                 Collaborate with Sr Brand & Category merchants to drive integrated assortments and optimize the seasonal offering
•                 Own the development of presentation tools for use by sales and retail brand marketing.
•                 Ensures category assortments are optimized at retail via space and fixture planning with visual merchandising.
•                 Finalize all category assortment plans across categories and retail formats to gain resolution against issues on flow, pricing and distribution.

Delivery against financial targets & results:
•                 Hit financial, futures, and merchandising targets.
•                 Creates “bottoms up” forecasts in collaboration with Territory and sales teams
•                 Reconcile top down/bottoms up forecasts in collaboration with DP and finance teams. 
•                 Drive financial results across geography & territories

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 4 years experience including 2 years relevant experience in product merchandising, sales and/or product marketing
Good level understanding of retail buying and or sales. Proficiency in editing a product line for profitability.  Proficient in leveraging all tools available to drive/inform product decisions.
 
Contract Indefinite contract - Fulltime
