MISSION As part of the store management team, to successfully manage the sales floor in accordance with Nike philosophy, policies and procedures.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES Customer Service To lead by example in terms of Nike customer service standards, playing an active role in serving customers on a daily basis and providing management support to deal with more complex customer queries or complaints. Sales Floor Management To assist with staff scheduling, ensuring optimum coverage as per the needs of the business. With ASM, monitor coverage on a day-to-day basis. Manage all daily activities on the sales floor including customer service, cash and wraps, merchandising standards and general housekeeping. To assist ASM with opening and closing of the store and daily cash reconciliation. Coaching With the Assistant Store Manager, overall responsibility for managing performance of the store team providing regular feedback, training and development. Responsible for motivating the team to achieve sales targets. Communication To assist the Store Manager in conducting regular store meetings in order to communicate key information and to provide a forum for training. Communicate targets and objectives to sales floor team on a daily basis. Training & Development To work with the ASM and ISM(s) to run regular training sessions for all members of the store team in: product knowledge, customer service, selling skills, merchandising, inventory control, loss prevention and store operations. Merchandise management To provide feedback on store sales and customer insights to the rest of the Store Management team. To work alongside the In Store Merchandiser (ISM) in order to develop a thorough working knowledge of Nike merchandising standards, ensuring that product is displayed and merchandised to a high visual standards at all times. To work with the store team in order to maintain standards on the sales floor. To ensure that replenishment routines are established and communicated to the team and to monitor all replenishment activity. Recruitment To assist with the recruitment and selection of all members of the store team, working with the relevant Regional departments and other members of the in store management team to ensure that a fair and consistent process is used and that all successful candidates meet the criteria outlined by Nike.
